Giving ourselves fully…

Do you know what’s the most significant form of respect you can ever receive in life? …. When someone comes up to you for help… or just to share something…… This means they consider you capable enough to help them…
In some way… destiny has sent them to YOU for help….

Do you know how you can give yourself fully to them?…. By LISTENING to them with your FULL attention…. By LOOKING at them straight into their eyes during a conversation… By talking to them… until THEY want to talk to you…. By helping them… in the best possible way you can…

You are not just giving them your attention… but your VISION, your HEARING, your WORDS… You are giving them a part of your life…. Some precious time from your life…

You are giving them a part of YOURSELF…. which is yours….

When you learn to give in this way everyday… then you actually stop SEEKING….

You heart is not then ASKING for attention but just GIVING it away….

The more you give… the less you seek…. and the less you need in life…!

Wouldn’t it be a RICH feeling if the whole world was kept in front of you on a platter and you felt… “You don’t need anything… because you actually HAVE everything”….

When you look at someone straight into their eyes…. they feel acknowledged…. they feel valued…

When you talk to someone until they need to speak to you… you give them assurance that you are there for them…. you show patience… and acceptance…

Isn’t acceptance what many of us are looking for? Aren’t these social networking sites…. giving assurance, acceptance and appreciation in the form of likes….

Why do people feel so happy when they see their post being liked or re posted? Because… the real joy is felt with everyone… and not alone…

The real joy is felt is GIVING… not RECEIVING….

Try this experiment… Next time when someone comes up to you…. Look at them straight into the EYES… TALK to them…. “LISTEN” to them with COMPLETE attention and then try to DO what ever best you can for them….

You will notice that your mind and body will STOP seeking… STOP searching…. STOP waiting…. and just start GIVING…. TO EVERYONE….

And when you start GIVING like this each moment of your life… You won’t feel scared when you have to give your entire self away…. When it’s time to go… You will feel like giving yourselves…. just the way you have given your entire life!

You can’t give someone your EYES… but you can give them your attention…
You can’t give someone your EARS… but you can LISTEN to them with open minds..
You can’t give someone your BODY… but sometimes… a simple hug is all that people need…
You can’t give someone your ENTIRE SELF… but sometimes your presence is all that matters…

May Lord give us all the strength to share… to give…. ourselves fully… Whenever someone needs us…

Maybe Lord has chosen us in some insignificant but special way…. to make a small difference in people’s lives…. Let’s make that difference….

 

 

Invaluable blessings….

Blessings come in many forms…. and some of the most important are the ones….that we forget to acknowledge…

Most of us… or let’s say many of us…. get a glass of water right in front of us… when we feel thirsty… Most of us… get food right in front of us… when we feel hungry…

Many of us have houses to live in… clothes to wear… people to talk to… friends to be with…

Most of us get to experience various seasons… We get to travel… if not far… then  atleast within the city we live in…

Many of us go through various emotions… Ups and downs…

Most of us have felt the rain…looked at stars in the night sky… glanced at the moon…

Most of us have watched TV shows… played outdoor games… Most of us have been able to communicate over the phone with our loved ones…

Many of us have received gifts in our lifetime… atleast a few times…

Many of us have been able to visit the doctor when needed…

Many of us have been able to go to school… Learn… Explore…

Many of us have some kind of faith that we hold on to…

Aren’t all these blessings….?!

If we remember to be thankful for every glass of water that is given to us when we feel thirsty… We will be able to acknowledge how lucky we are…. Because there are some people who don’t even get that…

If we learn to be grateful for every breath…every grain of food… every song we hear…every thing we see…. we’ll have much more to look forward to in life!!

If we realize how amazing the human body is and how lucky we are to have been born on this planet earth… we will enjoy every moment and Live it happily…

‘Coz in the end, it’s not the big things that matter but these little things…. that help us sustain life!!

My daughter who is 6 years old said an important thing the other day… She said… “Mommy… do u know what is the most important thing people want during Coronavirus while they are quarantined”…. I said… “What?” And she said .. “Grocery!” ….because she sees my husband and me ordering groceries every now and then…

Let’s try to be thankful for each course of meal that we get… each drop of water that we get…

And let’s truly believe that EVERYTHING else …. is just icing on the cake!!

Let’s work hard but be thankful for the little things too …coz they really are the big things!!!

There are countless blessings that we receive everyday…. We just need to acknowledge them… And be grateful!!

The best gift of life is life itself!! 🙏👍

 

The greatest bond

Every child has a bond with his/her parents… Some kids are attached to their mom more than their dad and some vice versa….

However, there is a much more important bond that leads every child in their life journey….. and that is the bond with God or with their belief system… the bond that guides them to take decisions in life… the bond that encourages them to move forward in life…

This bond or faith protects them and gives them hope for the future… It tells them to keep trying even after failing….

The ability to feel various feelings …. like love, jealousy, competition, ego, anger and so on… is an invaluable ability in human beings…

There are times when we feel lost and we don’t know what to do… in times like this…. we all turn to prayers…

Prayers give us the strength to carry on…

Every parent…. at some point of time… has to let go their children…. so that they carve their own path…. find their own identity and achieve bigger things in life…

In times like this, parents have to believe in the judgement power of the children and also their destiny….

They have to believe that a HIGHER POWER will lead them on the right path…. and guide them on their journey…

No matter how hard parents try to hold on to their children….. Children have to one day learn to fly…. and go to far fetched lands in search of their destinies…

Parents SHOULD believe that this HIGHER POWER will actually take care of their kids better than them… LIFE will teach them more invaluable lessons than parents can teach them…

LIFE will take them on better paths and destinations and show them this beautiful WORLD…

Every parent has to LET their children DEVELOP this strong bond with nature and with God…

Every parent has to learn to LET GO…. because that is the way to LIVE… and that is the way to LEARN…

LIFE is a great teacher and it teaches what we never imagined it would…

So, learn to bond with God and allow others to develop a faith too… in any form they like… as long as it is taking them on the RIGHT path…. which serves humanity… and every other living form on earth…

Bonding and letting go… both are equally important… to live a RICH Life…

We bond with our family, friends, colleagues and we also part with them… We have to let them go….  and in the process… WE GROW… THEY GROW… WE ARE ENRICHED and THEY ARE ENRICHED….and this enrichment makes us BETTER HUMAN BEINGS…

Let’s develop great bonds with people, with nature and with God and let these bonds thrive through the ups and downs of LIFE…!!

Let’s develop friendships that will etch beautiful memories in everyone’s hearts and teach all of us the true meaning of BEING ALIVE….!

Empty handed…

We are born empty handed…. and we die empty handed… and that’s true for every single being on the planet… Then how can there be any comparisons?

What we have “in between” is just a phase… and we eventually have to give everything away…Then why do we have to compare what is transitory?

I know and you know and we all know …. that in the beginning and in the end, we all are going to be EQUAL… in our own eyes and in God’s eyes… Then how does it matter if someone has 5 houses or 10 houses or a million dollars…

We start with 0 and we come back to 0.

In fact, to be honest, even during every second of our life, we own NOTHING…

We have just come into this world… to give… to serve… to help… to guide…

We are MEDIUMS through which the work is taking place… We are CHANGE AGENTS…

What we think is ours…. is not actually ours… It belongs to this world… and it will stay in this world… even after we are gone…

Why do we have this competition then?

How can we say that someone who has studied at a prestigious institution is more knowledgeable than someone living in a village… Maybe that villager has had more “educational experiences” in his life… through his hurdles and roadblocks..

How can we say that one person is a better human being than another when NO ONE… Absolutely NO ONE… has a FULL VIEW of anyone else’s life! There is no SCALE to measure anyone’s REAL worth…

No one knows “everything” about anybody…

Even if we read someone’s autobiography… we only get a glimpse of his life through our own perspective… our own view…

The world is a reflection of our thoughts and state of mind…

Actually, we all are just “borrowers”… we borrow “Essentials” from this planet to live and survive and then we have to give everything back when we leave…

While we are using some things, we “assume” they are ours, but actually they are not.. they never were…

If we believe that we have only come into this world to serve…. and not to accumulate…. then everything seems like a blessing….

But if we believe, we have only come into this world to consume and accumulate…. then our hunger never ends… and then “Greed” has no limit…

We are not entitled to anything…. and if we remember that… it helps us remain humble and truthful to our work…

We need to give as if “We never owned it in the first place”…. then that is “true giving…”

These days I read about the plight of migrant workers in India, who are traveling bare footed and empty stomach from one city to another… for hundreds of kilometres in India… It’s extremely sad to see their situation… their suffering and pain… especially the little kids… who are just being taken from one place to another….without food…

Can’t we all be thankful for what we have? Can’t we try to say…”No, thanks!” when someone gives us more than what we need… Maybe it will in turn go to someone else…

Can’t we just remain happy and content with life?

Can we not remember that the real valuables we can give to our kids are not gold and silver but rather the values based on which they will lead their life…

Can we all instill a spirit of “giving” in ourselves and say that “When I join my new job, I am going to try to give as much as I can”…”without expecting anything in return”

“When I join a new course, I will try to give to my fellow classmates as much as I can…”

OR

“When I get up tomorrow, I will try to give to my family as much as I can”

WITHOUT THINKING WHAT I GOT IN RETURN….

Do you remember that game…”Pass the parcel…”…. When we play that game, nobody focuses on the parcel… but rather on the process of passing it along… because that is more fun! Nobody owns the parcel in the game!

Let’s try to pass a little more laughter, a little more cheer, a little more happiness, a little more kindness to our fellow human beings… a little more love to our fellow human beings…

Let’s remember that we have to leave empty handed… so let’s not CRAVE for anything… and just try to be happy….with whatever life gives us…

Let’s not stop working but rather focus on the “actions” rather than the fruits of those actions… as the “Bhagawad Gita” says….

Let’s enjoy the sunshine when it’s sunny and the rain when it’s rainy…. Let’s face the storms with a little more dignity and strength… Let’s all be united… Let’s all believe in God…

Let’s all give all that we can…. and then leave empty handed… because that is the way to go…

 

Everything’s spinning… (Everything needs to work!).. The Cycle has to go on…

I read somewhere that “Ye dharti karmon ki bhoomi hai…”… That means the earth flourishes with our Karmas or Actions…

I think that is not only true for the earth but for each and every being on this planet… In fact not just on our planet…. but for the entire universe….

We grow through the results of our actions…

When we grow fruits and vegetables… we eat them and grow….

Whatever we do… whatever results of the actions we cultivate… we grow through them…

When birds go to far stretched lands in search of food….. they eat them and grow…

When butterflies suck nectar from the flowers… they grow….

We CONSUME the fruits of our actions and GROW… We cook food from what this earth serves us….. We feed our children and they also grow…

If we grow love and peace…. we in turn consume that as well…

If we grow hatred and jealousy…. we have to consume that also…

So we have to think before growing anything because we will have to bear the fruits of our actions…

The Earth grows all kinds of living organisms…. and Earth has to bear the fruits of their karmas or actions…

The Earth has to bear the acts of bad human beings as well as good human beings….

We consume what we grow ….to live.

Similarly, the Earth also has to CONSUME everything it GROWS…. to LIVE…

In order for the EARTH to live… Death is essential…. because that is how our earth consumes the dead things and generates life again….

We all dissolve in the Earth and in turn become raw material for MORE life to flourish and originate….

We are made of MATTER and in MATTER we dissolve…

Just like we are bound to WORK for our LIVING… Similarly… The earth is BOUND to Work… to Spin…. To Continue the cycle of Life and Death …. For it to have LIFE…!!

If the EARTH stops Spinning or Stops working….or Stops The cycle of Life and Death… then no other living being will be able to survive on our planet…

EARTH gives us birth and in the end… in the earth we dissolve….

The whole solar system…. The whole Universe… is spinning… For how much more long… We don’t know…..

Let’s be thankful for every spin of the earth…. For each day and each night….

Let’s be thankful for the WORK that earth is doing…. to keep everything on it ALIVE…

Let’s be thankful for every plant that originates on the earth…. every animal… every being…. It’s LIFE!!

LIFE on EARTH Is a blessing…. Let’s cherish it and flourish it and not let it disappear by inaction or bad actions….

Let’s all try to die naturally instead of creating violence on the EARTH… and becoming each other’s enemy….

We are one humanity…. One force…. One Planet…

Matter Antimatter

I am not a physicist but the matter antimatter asymmetry problem attracts my attention.

Although it is said that the Big Bang resulted in Matter-Antimatter colliding with each other and the collision of the particles led to the asymmetry resulting in Matter existing in our universe, and antimatter vanishing…  I’d like to understand that how matter existing is more than antimatter, when we can’t (I believe we can’t) measure antimatter on any scale.

Is there a way to precisely measure antimatter and keep it on a scale with matter and then decisively conclude that antimatter left is less than matter?

I’ve read that thoughts are also a form on antimatter. Each human produces thousands of thoughts everyday, then how can Matter be more than antimatter?

We may say that Matter is more visible to the naked eye than antimatter but how can we confidently conclude that antimatter in less than Matter when we can’t measure the size of antimatter.

I’d like to ask this question to the fraternity at large…. that please help me understand how to measure antimatter and compare it to Matter.

 

The universe… and beyond…

Whenever there is a relationship between two people, it’s not just between what is visible to us but also between what is invisible to us. It’s a soul to soul relationship…. from my soul to your soul…

Each soul is guided by an unknown power that is driving this universe…. which may be called God or any other man made name but there is a power…. It’s like electricity that is running all the people in this world.

Just like electricity makes all the devices work, similarly, this universal power makes everything in the universe work.

This power is present no matter whether we are physically present or not.

I am wondering, if all the physically existing things vanish away one day… This power will still be there… right? But then, what will it run…? …. It will run itself.

The power will continuously run itself. But why???

Why does everything have to move or run or work?… or change? ….

Because if it doesn’t change, it will be dead.

But why does everything have to be alive? Why is earth the only planet where life survives? … Well the scientific reason is because it has an atmosphere…

Why is it that only earth has an atmosphere and no other known planet has an atmosphere?…. The scientific reason is that the gases and the rocks and everything that evolved over time…. created life on EARTH… and only on EARTH…

Is Earth blessed? Why is it that all the events of time, finally aggregated to create Life on this planet. There must have been some reason… And some very BIG Reason…

Does anybody know that reason? … Can anybody know that reason? Is there a need to know that reason?

Astronauts say that the earth hangs like a lonely planet in the big wide space…

It’s like a blue and green marble rotating on its axis among millions of stars and galaxies and this is just what is visible to the scientists…

Nothing… absolutely nothing can move/change without this unknown power.

Nothing can breathe a single breath and nothing can die without this power…

No plant or animal or any tiniest or biggest living being can even move a centimetre without this power.

Once the electricity leaves, nothing can move.

This is the power that is making the sun and moon and the stars move.

This is the power that is pushing everything forward.

This is a Chakra… a wheel… a wheel of time… That is going on and on and on…..

From my soul to your soul…. From the beginning of time… till the end of time… if there is one….

From the non existent to the existent to the going to be existent…

From the dying to the dead to the going to be dead….

Everything works because of this power.

Can this power anytime go off like an electricity power outage?

Can the universe go off one day?

If everything physical in the universe goes away… will the non-physical go away too?

If only space exists….. Can a new universe magically be born into an empty wide space?

I think my imagination doesn’t go any beyond…. So I have to stop now….

Because somethings are beyond what we can imagine/think.

What is God?

Since we are all going through this pandemic together, I want to ask you a simple question….

What are your thoughts about God? What is God?

Mind, Body, Heart and Pain….

It’s amazing how our mind, body and heart pull us in different directions….

Our heart feels the pain but our mind asks us to move on…. Our body feels the pain but the mind says, I don’t feel anything….

When I go for my physiotherapy sessions , I notice how different people are suffering from various pains. Some aren’t able to move their arm all the way, some can’t move their neck…but that’s not the main point…… The main point is that when the instructor asks them “Do you feel a pain at this point, this looks sore.” They say, “No, I don’t feel anything!”….

As we all neglect our bodies and don’t take care of our health, pain becomes an integral part of our life. It becomes difficult to disconnect the body from the pain. You know it’s there yet you don’t feel how much, how often and how to deal with it?

There is a hindi saying, “Pehle kaya, phir saya, phir maya”…which means ..”First body, second partner/family, third wealth.”….however only a small percentage of people follow this priority order.

The synchronization between mind, body and heart is so difficult to establish that our entire life can be spent in trying to achieve it.

I think there should be courses that teach people how  to maintain your internal thought balance, when your heart and mind pull you in different directions.

Meditation is probably a key to achieving this….

Good morning!

Everyday when I get up in the morning, I feel the need to do something different, something unusual, something that makes a difference.

I feel inspired, motivated and am raring to go. So, while the rest of the world sleeps, my mind starts weaving stories about my plans for the day and for the coming days.

There’s so much to learn in this world — with absolutely no limit to the wide variety of things we could learn!

For instance, why does a certain bird have specific type of feathers, how do flowers get their beautiful colors, how do children interpret and learn new things, how many species thrive in various lakes, rivers and oceans, how many languages are there in this world….By the way, I am not a biologist….
I am a computer engineer. But, does that limit me only to my own sphere of learning? I don’t think so.

This world can be made so much better with constructive thoughts and ideas — All it takes is the will and  desire to do something new each day!

I don’t criticize the people who lack this enthusiasm because maybe they have something special to offer to this world as well – just by being the way they are.

It’s a personal choice – a seeking for happiness, contentment and fulfillment.

Learning enriches my soul and empowers me to think better.

What makes me content is getting up early in the morning, penning down my thoughts and letting my creative energies flow….

The world needs more positive and creative energy….it needs more power, more agility, diversity, curiosity, humanity, dignity and anything great that ‘you’ can offer!

We all need more learning, seeking, sharing, inspiring, believing and perceiving.

What are you offering to this world today?
