I was talking to my daughter a few days ago and thought of discussing something with her.
I had gotten angry at her over something and felt that I owed her an explanation…
I told her that in reality, just like she is a kid….parents are also big kids and grandparents are bigger kids…
Just like the little kids sometimes throw tantrums and get upset…Similarly the big kids and the bigger kids also get upset and annoyed…
Honestly…. we all never grow up…. We remain kids inside our hearts…. Longing for love, appreciation, concern and acceptance…
We need it from the beginning till the end.. Just like we need a daily dose of food and water…. We all need a daily dose of love and care from our family and friends…
Bigger kids (Adults) also throw tantrums …. they are expected to take care of others when they are still learning to take care of themselves….
We are not built to take care of ourselves… We just somehow carry along… we stumble, fall and make mistakes no matter how old we are…We just continue learning… and that is the true enjoyment…
If at some point in our life…25…40…60…or even 90…. someone told us …”You are perfect and u won’t make any mistakes now!” … then our learning and growth would completely stop and life would become sooooo boring! Life would just lose its meaning…
LIFE = Lessons inculcated for Eternity!
And that’s what makes life worthwhile!! 😊
